Winnow’s Response to COVID 19

First and foremost, our thoughts are with those directly affected by the outbreak of COVID-19, and our heartfelt respect goes out to the brave healthcare professionals working tirelessly to save lives.

The health and wellbeing of Winnow’s customers and team members is paramount. We recognise that many of the concerns we hold and actions we are taking will be shared by both our clients and the hospitality industry more broadly. 

We are following government advice closely, and like many businesses we have shifted our people and core operations to remote working. As ever our customer support teams across the world remain committed to support and assist our clients whenever that help is needed. We are encouraging the measures which we should all be making part of our daily routine to help prevent the virus spreading:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds regularly throughout the day
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin immediately, and wash your hands afterwards
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

We are inspired by stories of togetherness from around the world. Stories which show how communities, businesses, chefs and individuals can come together to show altruism, care and thoughtfulness even in the most challenging of circumstances. 

These are truly testing times for our sector, however our industry is built on strong foundations of character, community and resilience. We are stronger together, and together we will come through this difficult period.
